Weekend vs Weekday

If you want a quieter time to yourself in the gardens, visit Gardens by the Bay on a weekday in the early hours. Weekends are naturally more crowded than the weekdays as they attract more visitors.

Peak season vs off season

The best time to visit Gardens By the Bay is during the winter months, from November through March when temperatures are cooler and more comfortable. This is an ideal time to explore the gardens and take in its lush beauty, as well as enjoy some of its many attractions. During this season, you can observe and admire a variety of seasonal flower displays, enjoy the starlight garden and interactive activities for kids, as well as take in the evening lighting displays.

By public transportaion

By bus: In order to get to Gardens by the Bay by bus, alight at Tanjong Pagar MRT Station (EW15). Take Exit C and head towards bus stop no. 03223 located at International Plaza, Anson Road. Hop onto bus 400 and alight at bus stop no. 03371 along Marina Gardens Drive.

By MRT: The nearest MRT is Bayfront MRT Station (CE1/DT16). From here you can take Exit B and follow the underground linkway. Exit and cross the Dragonfly Bridge or Meadow Bridge into Gardens by the Bay.

By car

If you plan to get to Gardens by the Bay by your own car, drive over to Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE). Take Exit 3 and continue on to Central Boulevard. Make a right to enter Marina Gardens Drive.

Parking facilities at Gardens by the Bay

Bay South: Depending on which side you’re entering from, you can choose any of the following parking spaces.

Main Entrance (Basement Car Park), The Meadows (Open-air car park), Bayfront Plaza (Open-air car park), Satay By The Bay (Open-air car park) 

Bay East: There is an open-air car park located at Bay East Garden next to the security counter.

The parking charges for cars are $0.03 per minute or $30 for the day. The charges for motorcycles are priced at $1.20 per entry.

  • Wheelchair Rentals: wheelchair rentals are available at SGD 2 per day at Arrival Gift shop. They must be returned by 8:00pm
  • Parking: Car parking and motorcycle spaces are available at the Main Entrance, The Meadow, and Satay by the Bay. More parking options are available at Bayfront Plaza. Car charges are SGD 0.03 per minute and motorcycles are SGD 1.20 per entry Bicycle parking racks can be found near Bay South Garden.
  • Lockers: Gardens by the Bay provides one-time rental electronic lockers that are available for up to 21 hours with a one-time rental charge.
  • Shuttle Service: For your convenience, Gardens by the Bay has implemented a shuttle service that will transport them between two of its key attractions - the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest. For a charge of SGD 3, visitors can enjoy unlimited rides. Passengers in wheelchairs can enjoy the service free of cost.
  • Taxi stand: In case you wish to hail a taxi, head over to the taxi stand at Main Gate entrance.
  • Nursing rooms: Nursing rooms are available at seven locations, namely, Golden Garden, the Canopy (Near Flower Dome entrance, Cloud Forest, Floral Fantasy, Supertree Food Hall, Far East Organization Children's Garden, and the Meadow.
  • Strollers: Strollers for young children are available for rent inside the garden. They should be returned by 8.00pm.
  • ATM: You will find ATM machines at the Canopy.
  • First Aid: In case of any medical emergency, all visitors are requested to approach any uniformed staff.
  • Free Wi-Fi: You can enjoy free Wi-Fi at Flower Dome, Cloud Forest, Supertree Grove, Golden Garden, Far East Organization Children's Garden, and Floral Fantasy.
  • All paths and ramps in the Gardens by the Bay are wheelchair accessible, including on the OCBC Skyway.
  • Wheelchairs can be rented for a fee at the Arrival Gift Shop, The Canopy Ticketing Counter, and Floral Fantasy Ticketing Counter.
  • Accessible toilets are available throughout the Gardens by the Bay.
  • Braille signage is available in selected areas of the Gardens by the Bay, such as the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest.
  • Plucking or damaging the plants in any way is strictly prohibited.
  • Food and drinks are prohibited in the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest.

  • Any form of fire such as lit candles and barbeques are not allowed inside the garden.

  • Kite flying, swimming, and fishing are strictly prohibited.
  • While personal photography is allowed, commercial filming/photography is chargeable at Gardens by the Bay. 
  •  Wheelchairs (including motorized ones) and seated mobility scooters are allowed at the Gardens.
  • Picnics are allowed in most parts of the Gardens, like the free outdoor gardens. However, picnic furniture is not allowed. 
  • All audio tours have been temporarily suspended until further notice. 
  • Avoid going on weekends as a lot of locals and tourists from neighboring countries visit. 
  • The Gardens by the Bay host a variety of special events throughout the year, such as the Orchid Extravaganza, Christmas Wonderland, and Chinese New Year celebrations, making it a great time to visit the Gardens. 
  • The Gardens are quite large, so it can be tiring for children to walk the entire distance. While strollers are available to rent, bringing your own is easier.
  • If you're here for photography, try to visit the Gardens during the early morning or late afternoon, when you get the best lighting.
  • Fitness enthusiasts, on Thursdays from 7pm to 8pm, Quick HIIT, organized by the Health Promotion Board and Gardens by the Bay, offers free high-intensity workouts at the Waterfront Plaza, Active Garden.
  • There are spots where you can settle in for a picnic. Bring your own snacks and beverages.
  • Supertree Food Hall: This food hall is located at the base of the Supertree Grove and offers a variety of cuisines, including local Singaporean food. It also has a little cafe that is set up like Jurassic Park
  • TungLok Seafood: The newest kid on the block, TungLok Seafood is a haven for seafood lovers to sample Singaporean cuisine. 
  • Douraku Sushi: A quiet sushi bar, head here for authentic Japanese offerings.
